How is eXgine regulated?

eXgine Limited is a UK company registered in England and Wales under company number 11640652. eXgine is registered with and supervised by HM Revenue & Customs for anti-money laundering purposes under the Money Laundering Regulations, registration MLR-207360.

eXgine is also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a data controller under registration reference ZB237457.

HMRC registration is a regulatory requirement and does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation of eXgine or its services.

Regulatory summary

Anti-money laundering

As a firm registered with HMRC under the Money Laundering Regulations, eXgine is required to carry out appropriate customer due diligence, maintain records and monitor relevant relationships and transactions. This may include verifying identities and ownership information, screening individuals and businesses against relevant databases, and obtaining additional information about a customer, transaction or source of funds. Anti-money laundering records are retained for the period required by law.

Information for banks, acquirers and due diligence teams

eXgine provides the specialist foreign exchange component used within supported QashPay Multi-Currency Processing arrangements. Card acquiring, merchant settlement and other regulated payment services are provided by participating acquiring banks or payment service providers under separate agreements. eXgine does not provide banking, card acquiring, merchant settlement or payment accounts.
